The Tom Collins is a classic cocktail originally made from gin, lemon juice, sugar, and carbonated water. Contemporary and lazy mixers (like me) make it with lemonade allowing you to omit the juice, sugar and fizzy water. The purists are gasping in horror, but when all you need is something long and cold, this is guaranteed to satisfy that quick, fix craving.
Classic or contemporary - a couple of zesty lemon wheels set it off to a tee.
Ingredients
One part great gin to two parts good quality lemonade.
A long Collins glass
At least two dehydrated lemon wheels
A non-plastic straw
Fill your glass with lots of ice, pour in the gin, pour in the lemonade, add those all-important lemon wheels, kick back and enjoy.
